EmaraTax Account Setup UAE (2026): Register, Log In & Add a Taxable Person
EmaraTax is the Federal Tax Authority's online portal at eservices.tax.gov.ae, and every UAE corporate tax registration, return, and payment goes through it. Setting up access takes three stages: create a user account (or sign in with UAE PASS), create a taxable person profile for the business, and then add the corporate tax registration to that profile. Businesses already registered for VAT use the same account and add corporate tax to the existing taxable person.
Stage 1 — Create your user account
Go to eservices.tax.gov.ae. You can register with an email address and password, or sign in with UAE PASS, which is faster and avoids a separate credential. The user account represents you as a person, not the business — one user can manage several businesses.
Verify the email address before continuing; unverified accounts cannot proceed.
Stage 2 — Create the taxable person profile
Inside the account, create a taxable person for the business: legal name in English and Arabic exactly as it appears on the trade licence, entity type, and licence details. Accuracy here matters more than anywhere else in the portal — mismatches between the profile and the licence are the most common cause of rejected applications later.
If the business is already VAT-registered, the taxable person already exists. Do not create a duplicate; open the existing profile and add corporate tax to it corporate tax vs VAT →.
Stage 3 — Add corporate tax
From the taxable person's dashboard, select the Corporate Tax tile and begin the registration application registration walkthrough →. Once the FTA issues your corporate tax TRN, the same dashboard is where returns are filed and penalties appear.
Common access problems
Forgotten password. Use the reset link on the login page; the reset goes to the registered email, so an outdated email address is a problem to fix before you need it.
Wrong or lost email access. If the registered email belongs to a former employee or an agency you no longer work with, regaining control requires contacting the FTA — resolve this well before a deadline, not during one.
Multiple accounts created by mistake. Common when a company used an agency to register for VAT and later registered for corporate tax separately. Consolidating is easier than filing from the wrong profile.
UAE PASS not linking. Ensure the UAE PASS identity matches an authorised signatory recorded for the entity.
What you will need on hand
